There has been a considerable change in Dead End Podcasts that we feel is necessary to share with everyone. Dave and Simon, because of situations out of their immediate control, feel they must leave the podcast as regular presenters.

This has instigated a major rethink of the show and how we present it. Obviously our usual format cannot be adequately maintained by a single person so a broader “magazine” approach has been decided on.

So the “Dead End Scrapbook” now replaces the show for the foreseeable future. The Scrapbook’s approach will be geared more to the broader world of arts and entertainment and allow listeners to submit reviews (of films, books, comic and anything else within the realms of “entertainment and arts”) and featured stories of their own that can be made part of the released show.

Submitting something will be easy. The review or featured story should be an audio file longer than 10 minutes (though it may be longer under certain circumstances) and that contains little to no “bedded” music. The only criteria that is set in stone would be that whatever is done must be a piece of entertainment in itself. So features that promote a certain activities, projects or groups are welcome as long as it is entertaining and does not contain music or an excessive running time that is not essential to purpose of the piece.

There are three main areas where your submitted work may be presented: Classic Reviews, Featured Stories and New Reviews. They are somewhat self explanatory but if you require any further information on what is permissible then feel free to contact the site administrator.

Finally the format of the submitted files should be a single 64kbs MP3 file (ten minutes in this format should be less than 10 megabytes in size) that has been pre-edited and ready for presentation.

The creators of the Dead End Scrapbook reserve the right to ask for further editing of these files if deemed necessary because of time constraints, or will edit on the creators behalf and with their consent.
